Guide
Ten pieces at £289 kerbside is the sweet spot of the price table: a whole student room, a small flat’s soft contents, or one person’s life in boxes. A piece is any box, bag or suitcase up to 30 kg, and the first 4 are included in the £199 minimum.
Three large double-walled boxes of books and kit, three holdalls of clothes and bedding, two suitcases, a boxed TV or monitor, and a box of kitchen bits. That is a room, moved.
Bikes (£59) and small furniture like a desk chair or bedside table (£45 each) ride alongside without counting as pieces.
Pieces 5 to 10 add £15 each to the £199 minimum; pieces 11 and over add £12. Twenty pieces is £409. The price never depends on distance, only on what you send.
30 kg is a heavy suitcase at the airport. If you cannot lift it comfortably, split it; your back and the driver’s both say thanks. Oversized single items that need two people are an Assisted job.
