Prohibited items
Your boxes share a van with other people's boxes, so nothing that leaks, burns, rots or cannot be replaced. If an item below is the whole point of your move, email us first and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.
Never
- Liquids of any kind: toiletries in checked-luggage quantities inside a sealed bag are the one exception.
- Paints, oils, aerosols, fuels, gas canisters (including camping gas).
- Loose lithium batteries and power banks. Batteries fitted inside devices (laptop, e-bike) are fine.
- Perishable food, plants, and anything alive.
- Cash, jewellery, watches, passports, certificates and documents you cannot replace.
- Firearms, weapons, fireworks, and anything illegal to possess or transport.
- Anything leaking, soiled or infested.
Think twice
- Fragile heirlooms: we carry them if packed properly, but cover is limited; truly irreplaceable things should travel with you.
- Mowers and tools with engines: drained of fuel and oil, yes.
- TVs and monitors: original box or well sandwiched; note them in the booking.
If we find a prohibited item we may refuse the piece, return it at your cost, or hand it to the authorities where the law requires. Questions: hello@walesshuttle.co.uk.
